Man charged with fraud- rural villages

A man is due in court today (Friday 20 March 2026) charged with multiple fraud attempts near Great Yarmouth.
 

Officers arrested a man in his 30s on Wednesday evening (18 March 2026) in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire and taken to Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
 

It follows a number of reports made to officers between Saturday 14 March and Monday 16 March 2026 from residents in Ormesby, Scratby and Hemsby who had been called by scammers pretending to be local Norfolk police officers and asking for banking information.
